I hope everyone is doing well out there and is ready for some nice autumn weather. I know here in the Dallas area we’re breaking records every day with this Texas heat.
The last few weeks I’ve been working a lot on several new and exciting projects. Everything from R&B, Ambient Post Rock, Gospel to Christmas music.
I’m excited to start work on a few new projects that are waiting in the corridors for this fall.

Well folks,
This year has been pretty amazing!
I just wrapped a 5 song EP for Tim Urban. Sleeperstar hit the top 30 in The US, France, and the top 10 in Canada from their appearance on “The Vampire Diaries” on the CW (see it here). They had an entire scene devoted to their song “I was wrong”.
I had a great opportunity to recently travel and work (record and mix) in Europe. I traveled to Germany, The Netherlands, Belgium, and France. I met some great people and had a great time.
In the next few days I’ll be completing a project for The Black Academy of Arts and Letters featuring Ann Nesby, Ruben Studdard and other amazing performers and musicians.
So I suppose during this Thanksgiving season I have a lot to be thankful for.

Hey there,
This week I was fortunate to work with Tim Urban (American Idol). We tracked a 6 song EP that I will also be mixing. So all of you pop fans get ready. Musicians on this project were – dlo, Larry Leicht, Devin Dean, Colin Edge and Arlington Jones. All killer musicians and all around great guys. I’ll post some pic’s later.

Hello all,
Well its been busy summer.
I recently mixed the new kingsfall record that should be dropping sometime in October.
I then spent a couple of day’s in the studio with a band called Radio Revival. Cool stuff. Watch out for this record late 2010.
Then a really cool guy (Kike Pavon) from Spain flew here to Dallas and tracked with the Dallas dream team (a great group of musicians). It’s a blast mixing a record entirly in Spanish. We knocked this record out in 2 weeks.
I hope all is well with everyone.
It’s been one of those weeks….
It seems that everyday this week I’ve eaten lunch around 4pm. When that happens you know its been a hectic week.
I’m caping off my week by tracking vocals for kingsfall this evening and tomorrow. This is for their upcoming album in the fall of 2010. I am really excited to get to work with this great group of guy’s again. They are some really great songwriters and musicians… Plus they are a blast to hang with in the studio…
We started this album in the spring with drums at January Sound. They have been working on general overdubs and have come here to The Cedar Tree to finish lead vocals. I must say Josh is a killer singer.
Look out for their new album… Details to come…
Hey all,
It’s been a heck of a year. So far in 2010 I’ve been to Paris, the Caribbean, finished 6 or so albums, installed a new 96 channel avid profile with 128 channels of protools, purchased too many LEGO sets for my now 7 year old boy, and am now currently typing this from my laptop on the surface of the MCI console at http://www.januarysound.com where I’m recording overdubs for a new record.
Today a project that was in the works for 15 or so months has officially released. I had the opportunity to produce, engineer and mix “Just Another Ghost” by the band Sleeperstar . http://sleeperstar.com/blog/
Check out the sample track now.
These guy’s are some seriously talented musicians, songwriters, and overall just some really cool guy’s. We recorded and mixed the entire record at my private studio. I have to say… I’m pretty proud of it.
Check it out. Buy the record from their site or on iTunes (releases June 29th)
Hello everyone welcome to my new site. I’ll try to keep up the blog as much as possible.
